Languages allow humans to express themselves. It allows information to be passed from generation. This transfer of knowledge happens in written or oral form.
ICT has made this storage and sharing of knowledge easier and quicker.
The use of language learning software package and with audio and video contents can speed up the language learning process.
 Learners can use different software packages and CD/VCD’s to learn language at their own pace.
Word processor and languages translators, dictionaries and grammar checkers help learners improve their language skill. Computer packages for learning phonetic skills in various language.

3. How can the study of social sciences be made interesting using ICT?

Ans: Users can compose documents, create presentations and prepare reports using ICT tools in subjects like history, geography and economics. They can enjoy adding pictures, photographs, graphics and other information about a topic to their presentations and reports.
A wide variety of graphical information like pictures, photographs and diagrams is readily available on the Internet.
A user can use a database to store information about countries, their capital, population, currencies, agricultural, products, per capita income. etc. and then extract different lists based on specific questions.

4. Give the Role of ICT in Arts education.

Graphics packages allow for the creation of original artwork by creating patterns, complementary patterns and patterns with variety. In the design of advertisements brochures and posters as well as other printed matter, using more sophisticated graphical software ensures a professional product in minimum time, with the option to reuse or modify a design at will. Students of music can use ICT to compose and perform musical arrangements themselves, without having problems with the technical aspects of notation and playing an instrument. Students can make use of different royalty free music, stock music, background music which is available on the internet for project presentation.
